MID PROJECT

I didn't realize this was my last blog for this semester, so this time we had a mid-projet, we were told to find 2 fiction and non-fiction books, then summarize what the points of the book were, and then proceed to making podcasts. The content of the podcast is the result of a summary of the two books. I've often heard what a podcast is but have never made a podcast before. This is the first time I've made a podcast, at first I felt overwhelmed and didn't understand but over time I started to get used to it.  One thing I can take is don't be afraid of something new, just try it first, it's an experience, but thank God my podcast was successful and I put it together on time. Maybe this is what I can share first Thank you for reading my blog

The main ideas

As I promised I will come back with a different story  Today we started the meeting at around 10.00 am, the material discussed was about what paragraphs are, the differences between text and paragraphs, syllables and consonants. We were made a discussion room, each consisting of four people.  All groups were asked to find the mean ideas from a paragraph and then presented them according to the group. The problem is quite challenging why do I say that ? because it sounds easy to do but on the other hand the problem is a little difficult, in the first question my group's answer is correct but on the second and third questions our answers are wrong.  I hope it doesn't happen like this again in the future.  Maybe this is what I can share with you guys, thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

Topics of paragraphs

H welcome back with me, in this meeting discussing the topic of paragraphs, before entering the quiz there is an explanation given along with examples of paragraphs in the form of a pdf file, after reading and understanding then you can work on the next quiz.   In this quiz, we are given 2 groups of sentences that look like paragraphs and then determine whether they are paragraphs or not? in exercise (6.2A exercise 2 & 6.2B exercise 3), we are directed to read a paragraph and determine the most correct topic, neither specific nor general.  The next quiz is Finding the topic sentence, in this quiz, we look for the most correct topic and underline the topic of our answer, after that we compare our answers with our classmates whether they are correct or not. Maybe this is from me see you next week with a different story, of course. Thank you.

About topics

What is a topic? when you read the meaning, you should start by looking for the topic. It helps you connect what you read with what you already know, to find topics.  Before i was given the quiz today, there was a virtual meet in apps tems. During the meet i listened to the material explained by the lecturer but a few minutes later i left because i had urgent business to do as a result i forgot to do the quiz and didn't get information from WAG because i was inactive all day. I know this is my mistake, so when i told the lecturer about this i already knew what answer should receive. I hope that miss can understand my problem and give me a modest score hehehee. This is first from me next week we meet again!

Activities in class onenote

This time, something was different from the previous week.  Assignments were not done in syam-ok anymore but in the onenote class. Here i have a problem where my microsoft 365 is temporarily locked because i forgot my password and it's a shame i didn't do my homework on time.  Actually i want to tell the lecturer about my problem but i don't think it's necessary because this mistake is not from the lecturer but from my own stupidity. A week later i was able to remember and do the assignments in class one note. In the first exercise (B3. exercise 1-3) i asked my friend for help because here i am still very confused about how to answer the question, after that the next questions, praise God, i can finish correctly and correctly in my opinion. Pls comment bellow if you have any input you want to add!

Previewing and predicting

H guys, maybe some of you already know what preview and predicting are, but it's possible for some people to hear this word for the first time.  So there are two skills that are essential for a good reader, preview and prediction. When you gather information about a book by examining its cover, you are previewing it. The purpose of the preview is to help you predict or make some educated guesses about what's in the book.  In this material, we were given a quiz, there were 8 exercises that we did, in the first exercise we were asked to collect podcasts and then do a quiz.  This time I had a little trouble with the time given, only a few seconds but this did not make me give up and answered correctly to the best of my ability. Thanks for reading my blog, see you next week!

Scanning in syam ok

M blog this time will be filled with scanning material. Last week we learned about scanning and explained to us virtually through microsoft teams and also gave us practice in syam-ok, there was also an explanation of what scanning is. Scanning is reading text quickly to find specific information. On the syam-ok site it is explained that scanning is reading at a very high speed. When you have a question in mind, you don't read every word only the words that answer your question.  Practice in scanning will help us learn to skip words that are not important so we can read faster. Today's quiz is the first quiz in the interpretive reading course, it's not difficult but it's not easy either, at the beginning of the quiz there is exercise i new car newspaper ads in this exercise we will scan the newspaper for a new car and so will the next quiz done in the same way.  Maybe enough up here, thank you to all friends who have taken the time to read my blog.   please comment be...
